The Model

Every tool on firenum works without payment, without an account, and without your data leaving the browser. That is permanent. The site's only revenue model is affiliate commissions: when we recommend a product we would recommend anyway, and you sign up through our link, the company pays us a referral fee. You pay the same price either way.
Current status: firenum has zero active affiliate partnerships. Every outbound link on this site earns us nothing today. We publish this policy first, so the rules exist before the first commission does.
What Can Earn a Commission
- Planning tools we review and recommend for things firenum doesn't do (for example, US tax modeling)
- Flat-fee financial advisors and advisor-matching services, where a human is genuinely the right call
- Brokers and savings accounts, for readers who haven't started investing yet
What Is Never Monetized
- Your data. There is nothing to sell. Financial inputs stay in your browser.
- Tool access. No paywalls, no premium tiers, no locked features. Ever.
- Rankings. Comparison tables and verdicts never sort by payout.
- Ads. No display advertising, no sponsored posts disguised as content.
The Review Policy
- We recommend nothing we wouldn't name without a commission.
- Negative verdicts keep their findings and get no commission link.
- Reviews state where firenum itself falls short and where competitors are better. We build a competing product; pretending otherwise would be pointless.
- Disclosure appears before the first commission link on every page that carries one.
How Tracking Works
Affiliate links are plain outbound URLs. No new cookies, no pixels, no server-side tracking on our end. When partnerships are active, clicking a commission link fires a single anonymous event (only if you accepted analytics cookies) so we can see which recommendations people find useful. Attribution happens in the partner's own systems after you leave this site.
