Data We Collect
Your financial data never leaves your device. All calculations happen locally in your browser. We don't collect, transmit, or store any of your numbers—not your income, expenses, savings, or anything else you enter.
We don't have accounts, we don't track individual users, and we have no access to your financial information. Period.
Local Storage
We save a few preferences locally in your browser:
- Theme preference: Light or dark mode
- Font size: Your preferred text size
- Currency: Your preferred currency display
- Cookie consent: Whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies
- Calculator inputs: Your last-used values for each calculator
This data never leaves your device and is not sent to any server.
Analytics
We use two analytics services to understand how visitors use our site:
Cloudflare Web Analytics (Always Active)
Cloudflare Web Analytics is our primary analytics tool. It:
- Does not use cookies
- Does not track individual users
- Does not collect personal information
- Is privacy-first and GDPR compliant
This runs automatically and requires no consent because it collects no personal data.
Google Analytics (Optional, Consent Required)
If you accept cookies, we also use Google Analytics 4 to get additional insights about site usage. When enabled, it:
- Uses cookies to distinguish unique visitors
- Collects anonymized IP addresses (we enable IP anonymization)
- Tracks page views and time on site
- Does not collect names, emails, or financial data you enter
You can decline these cookies via the consent banner, and we will never load Google Analytics. Your choice is stored locally and remembered on future visits.
Your Choices
When you first visit, you'll see a cookie consent banner. You can:
- Accept: Enables Google Analytics cookies
- Decline: Only cookieless Cloudflare Analytics runs
To change your preference, clear your browser's localStorage for this site or use your browser's developer tools to remove the fi-calc-cookie-consent key.
External Resources
The only other external resource we load is Chart.js from a CDN to render the portfolio growth charts.
